Have you ever felt like you have just lost your way and need a roadmap back to you? There are many tools that can guide us to where we want to be. A healthy mindset involves finding ways to grow from your thoughts instead of letting them control your life. Rather than dwelling on a negative thought until it becomes overwhelming, the healthy mindset tries to move beyond that thought.


Your long term success with weight management depends on choosing the best way to support your health.


These decisions may depend on:


  • Understanding your patterns and behaviors

  • Challenging your emotions. Not letting them control you

  • Facing your fears and doubts

  • Shifting your perspective

  • Thinking positively

  • Changing your self-talk

  • Getting support


While the healthy choice may seem harder, it pays dividends further down the line. Surround yourself with supportive and positive people that will help you attain your short and long term goals. Write your goals down, call these your ABC goals. Your A goal should be something you can achieve in 1-2 months, B goal in 3-6 months and your C goal in 6 months to a year. Put these goals somewhere you can see them everyday. Once you start achieving them, cross them off. If you don’t know where you are heading you will never get there.
